HEART (Home Energy Appliance Replacement) is a seasonal offering to LEAP clients whose white goods are old and energy-inefficient.
In order to help reduce residential energy demand and carbon emissions, the HEART scheme can replace these white goods with new, energy-efficient equivalents, free of charge.
The existing appliances can be in full working order, but must be over 9 years old and have a low energy rating.
Eligibility:
Residents must own the appliance to be replaced and:
- Be in receipt of an income related benefit
- Or have a total annual household income of less than £31,000
To apply for HEART:
- Call the Save Energy Advice Line on 0800 043 0151 to complete an eligibility check over the phone. Partners can refer using the usual Energy Projects Plus referral form.
- A LEAP home visit will be arranged which will include an assessment of the existing white goods to be replaced.
- If a replacement is required, an appointment will be made for the old appliance(s) to be removed and the new appliance(s) to be installed.
If you, or someone you know, is eligible for this support call the Save Energy Advice Line on 0800 043 0151 or request a call.
