Training
Energy Projects Plus is committed to delivering training, presentations, workshops and courses for and with front line staff and community representatives in energy efficiency, fuel poverty and carbon literacy. We aim to share energy efficiency information to improve our clients’ knowledge of the issues and make their roles easier to recognise vulnerable clients and refer them on for appropriate support. We listen and learn from those we work with, this informs our approach and enriches our understanding.
We can offer bespoke training for groups and organisations. For more information please email training@epplus.org
Carbon Literacy Training
Energy Projects Plus is a Carbon Literate Organisation, accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project to deliver Carbon Literacy courses to organisations and groups who want to commit to understanding and reducing their carbon footprint.
Carbon Literacy is an awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities. The course aims to give learners the ability and motivation to reduce harmful carbon emissions, on an individual and community basis.
The course is designed to be fun and interactive. The presentations and activities are created to offer a rich mixture of learning styles and techniques to promote inclusivity and offer the most effective learning among its attendees.
By completing a day’s (min 8 hours) worth of Carbon Literacy training and an accreditation form detailing their knowledge and commitment to substantial carbon reduction, learners will be certified as ‘Carbon Literate’ by the Carbon Literacy Project.
The main objective of the course is to encourage individuals to TAKE ACTION. By taking the learners on an emotional journey and giving quality knowledge on the science of Climate Change, the group will then make individual pledges to create change for themselves and within their community.
