Training and Education
Training
Energy Projects Plus is committed to delivering training, presentations and workshops to front line staff and community representatives in energy efficiency and fuel poverty issues. We endeavour to impart energy efficiency information to improve our clients’ knowledge of the issues and make their roles easier to recognise vulnerable clients and refer them on to appropriate schemes.
Education Work
A sustainable energy future requires the commitment of our generation and the ones to come. Ensuring we meet the energy demands of future generations means we have the responsibility to act now and teach the younger generation about the importance of sustainable energy; including energy conservation and renewable energy.
Open Awards Accredited Learning Centre
Energy Projects Plus has been delivering training and learning sessions for organisations including Local Authorities and Registered Social Landlords to enable their residents to benefit from affordable warmth for more than twenty years. We are pleased to advise that we are an Open Awards Accredited Learning Centre and have harnessed our decades of knowledge and experience to create two Open Awards accredited courses:
- Level 1: “Introduction to Affordable Warmth”
- Designed to provide some basic information to community groups
- Six hours of classroom-based learning
- Level 2: “Achieving Affordable Warmth”
- Designed for frontline workers who are already engaging with vulnerable residents
- Pre-course e-learning required, followed by six hours of classroom-based learning

Carbon Literacy Training
Energy Projects Plus is a Carbon Literate Organisation, accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project to deliver Carbon Literacy courses to other organisations who are keen to prove they are committed to understanding and reducing their carbon footprint.
Carbon Literacy is an awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities. The course aims to give learners the ability and motivation to reduce harmful carbon emissions, on an individual and community basis.
The course is designed to be fun and interactive. The presentations and activities are created to offer a rich mixture of learning styles and techniques to promote inclusivity and offer the most effective learning among its attendees.
By completing a day’s (min 8 hours) worth of Carbon Literacy training learners will be certified as ‘Carbon Literate’ by the Carbon Literacy Project.
The main objective of the course is to encourage individuals to TAKE ACTION. By taking the learners on an emotional journey and giving quality knowledge on the science of Climate Change, the group will then make individual pledges to create change for themselves and within their community.
