Energy Projects Plus has partnered with Wirral Food Bank to deliver the Wirral Fuel Bank project. This grants access to our energy advisors to apply for emergency fuel vouchers to assist vulnerable, low-income, prepay meter customers within the Wirral Council local authority area, who are at risk of self-disconnection, or who have already self-disconnected.
Wirral Fuel Bank was initially a pilot project, delivered by Wirral Food Bank and Npower, and the success of the project has led to multiyear funding being provided by Fuel Bank Foundation, after Npower ceased trading. There is an article about the initial development of the project available on Wirral Food Bank’s website, here.
If you are working with a client who requires assistance to top-up their prepay meter, use our dedicated fuel voucher referral form to send their details to us, and one of our energy advisors will make contact as soon as possible, to assess eligibility and help wherever appropriate.
If you are a prepay customer at risk of self-disconnection, or already self-disconnected, you can request a callback by completing our contact us form.
