ECHO offers assistance to repair or replace broken gas boilers.
The scheme aims to offer a fully-funded fast-tracked solution to those in a no-heat situation.

Eligibility:
Applicants must either:
- Be in receipt of qualifying income related benefits
- Or have a total annual household income less than £31,000
And:
- Be the home owner
- Heat their home using gas central heating
- Be in a “no heat” situation as a result of their boiler being broken
To apply for ECHO:
- Call the Save Energy Advice Line on 0800 043 0151 to complete an eligibility check over the phone. Partners can refer using the usual Energy Projects Plus referral form.
- Eligible households will be referred to a local contractor who will complete a technical survey to determine if works can be completed. If the boiler can be repaired, they will do it there and then.
- If a replacement is required, an appointment will be made for the new boiler to be installed.
