Aim:

The Sefton Insulation Scheme provided free loft and cavity wall insulation to residents of Sefton who lived outside of the seven wards targeted through Sefton House Warmers.

• Cavity wall insulation

Target area:

Sefton Council area.

Criteria for qualification:

All residents of Sefton were eligible for free insulation, providing they own or privately rent their home.

Duration and funding of project:

The scheme ran from 8^th August to 30^th September 2012.

Outputs achieved:

A mailing was sent out to 40,000 residents inviting application through mailing reply slip, the scheme website, or through Energy Projects Plus’ freephone advice line.

The mailing resulted in 1,356 applications for loft or cavity wall insulation.
