Aim:
Sefton House Warmers provided free insulation and energy efficiency advice to residents within set areas of Sefton.

- Energy efficiency advice
- Referral to other agencies such as Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, Save Energy Advice Line, United Utilities, Sefton Council’s Energy Team for help with benefit checks, advice on heating, loans for heating, or advice on solar PV.
Target area:
Community engagement took place in Meols, Dukes, Church, Victoria, Blundellsands, Park and Ainsdale wards.
Criteria for qualification:
All residents in these areas of Sefton were eligible for free insulation, providing they own or privately rent their home.
Duration and funding of project:
The project is delivered in partnership with Sefton Council and ram from 1st April to 30th September 2012.
Outputs achieved:
658 insulation referrals were generated as a result of this scheme. In addition, 105 people received advice on saving energy from Energy Project Plus’ Save Energy Advice Line; 498 people were referred to Sefton Council’s Energy Team for advice; 193 people received information on fire safety checks and 1,755 people received a water saving pack from United Utilities.
