Liverpool Affordable Warmth Project funded by British Gas Energy Trust is now up and running to support Liverpool residents facing or at risk of fuel poverty. The support will include advice on energy efficiency , increasing energy saving within current setting where applicable, opportunities to replace or improve the standard of existing equipment or home using a “Home Energy Check” survey, tariffs and bills support (such as identifying most appropriate tariffs, payment methods and understanding how to measure, monitor and manage bills), income maximisation through benefits checks and guidance, household budgeting (through income and expenditure assessments). Where necessary clients will be referred to Stepchange and other local organisations to enable clients to secure specialist debt or other extended support, and contact will be maintained throughout to monitor progress. We will be delivering the support through face to face, home visits and telephone assessments where applicable.
We will also be focusing on offering support through face-to-face activity at community venues and events where people in need of the support can attend, if you have any local events happening within the Liverpool area, please do not hesitate to get in touch so we can support your local community.
