Aim:

To make front-line workers from the local authority and other agencies aware of the importance of Affordable Warmth and Fuel Poverty.

Objective:

To enable staff who are in contact with residents to identify those who in difficulty with fuel bills and assist them in reducing those costs by minimising fuel waste and identifying best tariffs, discounts and, where appropriate, obtaining help with fuel debt.

Target area;

The scheme covers Halton Borough Council Area.

Criteria for qualification:

Front-line staff working within the borders of Halton Borough Council.

Duration and funding of project:

Ongoing, funded by Halton Borough Council.

Outputs achieved: Over 60 trained to date.
