From October 2019 to March 2020, the Big Energy Saving Network (BESN) programme provided funding to local organisations to help people take action to reduce their energy bills.
BESN also funded “regional lead” organisations, who offer support to other funded organisations, and design and deliver a programme of training to frontline workers who engage with potentially vulnerable residents. This training is intended to pass on information for the frontline workers to use to help their clients to reduce their energy bills.
Energy Projects Plus was one of the two regional lead organisations for the Northwest of England.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, face-to-face training sessions were cancelled before the end of the project. However, we didn’t want frontline workers to miss out so Energy Projects Plus developed e-learning, set over three short (approximately 20-minute) sessions.
