Big Energy Saving Network is an annual project, funded by Citizens Advice to deliver energy efficiency advice to vulnerable residents between October and March each year.

As one of two Northwest Regional Lead organisations, Energy Projects Plus will be supporting Big Energy Saving Week, offering support to Big Energy Saving Network advisors across the region, and we will also be delivering free energy efficiency advice training to 300 frontline workers (employees or volunteers) who provide advice and support to vulnerable residents.

What’s Involved in the Training?

We will cover the basic aspects of energy efficiency, including switching tariffs and applying for additional support, such as Warm Home Discount, Priority Services Register and funding for insulation/heating via Energy Company Obligation. By the end of the training our learners will feel more confident in providing this advice to vulnerable residents.

This can be delivered in ‘briefing sessions’ for up to 20 members of your team at your office, and the session can run from 30 minutes to 2 hours, in order to fit in with your training requirements.
