Energy Projects Plus is delighted to be a partner in the Cool Wirral Thriving Communities programme, we’re leading the Clean & Lean Energy strand of this exciting climate action programme. Over the next three years, we will work with and support local community organisations and residents across the Wirral to reduce energy use, lower carbon emissions and explore renewable and low-carbon energy alternatives.

We’ll be offering practical training and support to Wirral based community organisation leads to enable them to understand and monitor their buildings’ energy and resource use, identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce financial and carbon costs and embed these changes into their plans and strategies. 

We’ll also help residents save energy at home by delivering free, impartial energy advice through community events, offering in person support in partnership with neighbourhood organisations. Improving home energy efficiency not only reduces energy bills and carbon emissions but also helps people live in warmer, healthier homes.

As part of the project, we’ll work with community organisations to explore the feasibility of renewable energy technologies, such as solar panels, helping them understand what could work for their buildings and how renewable energy can support a cleaner, more affordable future.

We’re looking forward to working with partners together to grow and sustain climate action that creates truly thriving communities across the Wirral.
