Through the extension of the Household Support Fund provided to Local Authorities by central government, Energy Projects Plus is delighted to again partner with Halton Borough Council to provide much needed financial support to residents who are struggling due to the increases to the Price Cap that came into effect in October 2021 and April 2022.
Through this Fund, we can offer up to 3 payments of £30 submitted directly to the energy supplier of vulnerable residents referred to us through a trusted member of the “Partners in Prevention” group. This ensures residents who pay by Direct Debit/Standing Order/Cash/etc. can receive support equivalent to that on offer to prepay customers at risk of self-disconnection.
To be eligible for support, residents must:
- Live within the Halton Local Authority area.
- Pay for their energy bills via Direct Debit/Standing Order/Cash (there is support available for prepay customers, but not through this route).
- Be in financial hardship, reducing their ability to pay their energy bills.
The Household Support Fund will continue until the end of September 2022, or until funds are exhausted, whichever is sooner.
To refer a resident to us, simply click on the link below to access the referral form. Enter your contact details, your client’s contact details, and their energy account number(s).
In most cases we’ll be able to process payment within a week. Please note, it can take many weeks for the energy supplier to credit the balance to your client’s energy account, and it’s best to advise them of this.
